The Royal Flying Doctor Service is an icon of Australian History, and offers Flight Nurses a variety of areomedical experiences. While our Flight Nurses work autonomously in the air, Medical Officer support is available at all times.
The position involves providing emergency, inter-hospital and retrieval in-flight care from our base at Dubbo.
Situated on the banks of the Macquarie River, 4 hours from Sydney, Dubbo is a dynamic, thriving regional city with a growing population of 38,000 and is the gateway to outback New South Wales. It provides an enjoyable city lifestyle in a pleasant rural setting, has excellent sporting and educational facilities and is in close proximity to an ever-growing number of wine producing areas.
Qualifications
- registered Nurse/Registered Midwife, eligible for registration in NSW
- Critical Care qualifications and/or experience (ED or ICU)
- demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- current driver’s license.
